WHAT IS HAPPENING

Colbert’s Book Club celebrated the release of the new Great Gatsby movie in awesome fashion.

Picked up Borderlands 2. I’ve wanted it since release, but I’ve been waiting for it to be under $20. Weekend sale on Steam had it under $15, so it was an instabuy for me. 

Shot one: The graphics were a little jarring to me at first, despite being used to (and liking, generally) the cel-shaded rendering. It’s definitely grown on me, and it makes for some beautiful stuff. 

Shot two: Fur mohawk. That is all. 

Shot three: One of my favorite things in this game is environmental damage. Most FPS games have it, but I find it particularly satisfying here. You can see the gas tank emitting flames. That Marauder is about to get blown to pieces.

Shot four: Different timeframe and locale, but the result of a gas tank exploding!
